Worry and Anxiety

Hello fellow moms and listeners! This week I’m talking about a subject that is in the forefront of my life right now, worry and anxiety!  

I find that these two emotions/actions go hand in hand.  Very often, we are worrying about something we have no control over. The list is long for special needs moms.  

How do you experience the feeling of worry? The feeling of anxiety? If we sit in these feelings and this place, we tend to spin ourselves even deeper into these feelings. 

Take notice of what you’re doing and feeling when you have these emotions come up.  Are these practices actually helping or harming your state of mind? 

I also want to impress the idea that sometimes worrying is good. If we can control the situation or have an impact, it’s okay to worry and then do what we can to correct that situation. But as special needs moms, so much can be out of our control. 

Hang in there mommas and be mindful of your thoughts and actions surrounding these things. Trust that you have what it takes when the unknown comes to fruition and enjoy your children in the now!
