You know those conversations that leave you feeling both seen and inspired to take action? That was this week’s episode.
I brought on my longtime friend Kelly Dixon—someone who once managed luxury estates with staff, checklists, and systems that could rival a Fortune 500 company. And even though our lives look very different (hello, special needs parenting and laundry mountains), the way she thinks about managing a household blew me away.
We talked about everything from:
- Why your brain feels overloaded (spoiler: too much lives in your head)
- How voice-to-text in Apple Notes can become your new best friend
- Using Trello to organize your home like a well-run project
- And yes, why you probably don’t need 14 different bottles of shampoo 🤭
One of my favorite takeaways?
“Once you get the structure out of your brain and into a system, your stress drops—even before anything changes.” 🙌
It was a playful, thoughtful convo with some “oh wow” moments and plenty of laughs. If you’ve been feeling like your house (and head) are in constant catch-up mode, I think you’ll love it.
Here’s to fewer mental tabs and more peace,
Kara 💛
